Since 2012, thanks to its collaboration with Officine Maccaferri S.p.A., Thetis Costruzioni has been the exclusive producer of ACBM (Articulated Concrete Block Mattresses), special prefabricated concrete structures used for the protection of underwater cables and pipelines.

ACBM concrete mattresses are highly versatile and stand out for their multidirectional flexibility.

They are manufactured using specially designed molds, which create gaps between the individual blocks to prevent underpressure effects. The plastic molds are designed to ensure maximum modularity, allowing the production of elements in various sizes.

The concrete properties provide high resistance to marine environmental exposure and strong compressive strength.

The prefabricated elements are interconnected using a rope system, which gives the structure the ability to move in all directions, allowing it to adapt to the shape of the element it protects.

For handling and installation, specially designed lifting frames are used to ensure easy transportation and precise placement during deployment.
