The constant desire to challenge itself and the ongoing pursuit of innovation has led THETIS COSTRUZIONI S.r.l. to venture into a new and interesting environmental sector: water treatment and purification.

The opportunity arose during a flooding event of some underground rooms at the Barcis Hydroelectric Power Station. To remove the contaminated fluid containing oily substances, two electric pumps were used, each with a head of 50 m and a capacity of 25 m³/h. The purification process was carried out by installing a thermally reactivatable activated carbon system on the line, allowing for the adsorption of the oily phase.

The quality of the water leaving the treatment plant was consistently monitored through sampling and subsequent analysis to ensure the absence of contaminants.
